huperLab 3D Virtual Fence

The huperLab 3D Virtual Fence combines huperEyes, a state-of-the-art stereo 3D camera and an exclusive 3D virtual fence algorithm to capture three-dimensional images, and detect objects with much greater precision. 3D Virtual Fence detects people who pass through or touch the virtual fence. The virtual fence is defined by a drawn detection line on the ground from the camera preview. The detection line defines as the bottom of the virtual fence and it behaves as a 3D wall on the field. Users can set the moving directions they prefer to detect. Once anyone goes across the virtual fence and matches the detection direction, an alarm will be triggered. Height range criteria can be defined to detect only wanted targets.

  • 3D Virtual Fence detects people’s movement along a single direction or bi-direction. For example, if a secure zone is enclosed by 4 virtual fences, the detection can focus on people step inward to the secure zone only, step outward only, or step both inward and outward.
  • Users can optionally decide to trigger an alarm when people touch the virtual fence or when they go across the virtual fence. Each detection line can have its own detection mode, crossing mode or touching mode. Users can set appropriate detection mode for each virtual fence to fit in different situations and demands. 
  • 3D Virtual Fence can optionally detect people according to their heights. The drawn detection line is the base on its represented virtual fence on the ground. The top and the bottom of each virtual fence can be defined independently. The fence will only trigger an alarm when a person goes across or touches the virtual fence and the person’s height is within the detection height range. For example, users can set the bottom height of virtual fences to be 100 cm, and it can avoid detecting small animals, like cats and dogs which triggering false alarms.
