Most access control systems can easily cause tailgating or piggy backing problems without controlling the numbers of people when entry occurred every time. huperLab 3D Tailgating Detection utilizes 3D dual-lens camera, with its advanced 3D algorithm, to construct and track 3D moving objects in real time. When a person is authorized to pass through the secured area or access point, the system will automatically create the virtual privilege tag on the authorized person while moving in the detection area for 5 minutes. Any unauthorized access will trigger an alarm to notify the security in seconds. More importantly, it works well with your existing access control system for better access control. 3D Tailgating has three detection modes, Tailgating Detection, Group In/ Out, and Disinfection.

- Tailgating Detection is to prevent a tailgater or intruder from entering a secure area. 3D camera system can track people in its monitoring area. The system knows whether a person has passed the identity verification process or not. Once a tailgater or an intruder enters, the 3D camera system can detect them immediately, and then trigger an alarm.
- In nursing homes, the access control system pays attention to disable or dementia elders when they are leaving the hospital area. Sometimes, some outdoor activities require a group of people to enter/leaving the hospital area together. 3D Tailgating Detection – Group in/out mode is designed for this use. Normally, elders are not allowed to leave the hospital area. During outdoor group activities, one identity verification allows a group of elders to enter/leave the hospital area within a pre-defined time period.
- During the pandemic, sanitizing the hands is a very important to prevent the outbreak of infectious diseases. 3D Tailgating Detection – Disinfection mode adds a disinfection check to make sure all identity verified people to have sanitized their hands before entering the room. The Disinfection mode is also called two-checkpoint detection.
